What Our Partners Are Saying

HOUSTON SYMPHONY

Working with Reed and Rachel from Sensory Stages was an absolute game-changer for the

launch of the Houston Symphony's Sensory-Inclusive programming, piloted through

modifications made to our Family Series to create relaxed concerts inclusive of those in the

neurodivergent community. They supported our multi-departmental task force every step of the

way—reviewing curtain speech scripts, developing social narratives, and connecting us with

community partners to help build trust with families in a structured, thoughtful way. They even

worked directly with our front-of-house staff and volunteers, sharing practical tips to ensure the

experience was relaxing and welcoming for everyone.

Sensory Stages gave us the confidence, knowledge, and reassurance we needed to move

forward with this work, knowing we were doing right by this community. With their guidance, we

were able to open our doors feeling prepared and supported, and we couldn't have done it

without them! And they haven’t abandoned us—they continue to check in and make sure we

have everything we need.
